MYOTRAGUS BIKES – EXTREME MOUNTAIN BIKES DESIGNED IN MALLORCA – USE WITH CAUTION – DESIGNERS OF THE OPPOSITE LINK SUSPENSION SYSTEM
It all started with an obsession with understanding suspension systems, which led Roger Pisà to develop the OLS rear suspension system. Building on this innovation, he teamed up with Joan Bujosa with the aim of taking it further. That’s how our project began.
Driven by the desire to design the bicycle we ourselves would like to have, and with a clear commitment to being different and manufacturing it as close as possible to our homeland, Mallorca, we founded Myotragus Bikes in 2021.
Myotragus balearicus was a small, endemic, extinct mammal, similar to a goat, which evolved in isolation on Menorca and Majorca. Although it did not stand out for its great abilities, it had one characteristic that inspired us:
Unlike most modern bovids, Myotragus balearicus had forward-facing eyes.
Since then, we have designed a multitude of versions and tested up to five iterations of prototypes, which have allowed us to learn, evolve and perfect the OLS system.
We are a small project, but we are eager to do things right, step by step, and to establish collaborations with companies that share our vision, whether to manufacture our own designs or to incorporate them into their brands.
